The first gig for the D. Smith Blues Band - a private party in Southington. Memorial
Day 1990
|

Our first public appearance was at Water Street Station in the summer of 1990
we played with King Bee.

|
Here we are on-stage at Water Street Station in Torrington, CT. We played this venue
several times in 1990 and '91. It is a great room with a real stage and it is a
shame that it is no longer a place for live music in Torrington.
|

We have been advertised as many variations on our name which of course in 1991 was D.
Smith Blues Project. No More Filmore's in Bristol, which thankfully is now just
"no more" isn't too far off the mark with simply "Smith Project."
|

Here we are in 1990 or '91 at an outdoor party in Bolton, CT.
|

In October of 1990 we played our first of what was to be many shows at the Muni in
Hartford, CT. For much of 1994 we were the host band of a blues jam at the Muni
where we met and played with several fine local blues players. |

Not sure where this was taken but it is early as
evidenced by T-Bone's white drums. |
